In 'Marakkanavatha Macau Yathra' Abdullakutty shares his days spend at the Macau Island along with his family. Macau much known for tourism is being visited by people not to do a research but to enjoy the real life in the land. Nature in all its glory, this fascinating place has its own legal system, police force, monetary system, customs policy, and immigration policy.
He opines that in Kerala, too, Night Clubs and Sex Toy shops could be opened like those in Islamic countries. Separate Sex Toy shops for men and women would be ideal.
The MLA shares his experience at a sex toy shop he bumped into while shopping at St Paul Street market in Macau city. He tactfully sent his wife and children to a nearby children’s toy shop and spent some time in the Sex Toy shop.
What did he see there? Realistic models of male and female genitals; high-tech devices with batteries, used for masturbation; Inflatable rubber models of male and female body…thus goes the list that Abdullakutty has mentioned in the book.
He says that he could read from the expressions of his wife about an average Kerala woman’s awareness about sex. “In Kerala people approach sex with narrow-mindedness. Sexual harassment is on the rise because of this innocence about sex. It is high time we started an open discussion on sex. But, we dare not include the topic in our life’s agenda” he says.
The MLA also moots the need for sex education in schools and the need for mixed schools. The students who come from boys’/girls’ schools show more sexual perversions.
